KEEP GIRLS IN SCHOOL
We are a grassroots Sierra Leonean organization providing reproductive health awareness, education, and sustainable feminine health kits to women & girls.

OUR MISSION
Our mission is to reverse the cycle of poverty among women and girls by raising the awareness among children about the unique challenges of adolescents. We aim to enlighten women, men and communities about their roles in human development right from childhood through adolescence by providing programs that will lead to sustainable empowerment.

With impeccable quality standards, our Days for Girls reusable menstrual health kits are a sustainable solution for the women and girls of Sierra Leone whilst they are on their menses. Uman Tok tailors are intensely trained and earn by piece-rate so every kit made impacts their livelihoods and therefore their and their families' lives.

MEET THE TEAM

MARIATU MARLEY YATEH
SRHE Facilitator
I have two biological children, two adopted children, am married and my husband is a teacher. In my role as Sexual and Reproductive Health Education facilitator, I give new ideas to schools, children, families and communities on issues which surround them but of which they lack the knowledge to solve. Adults wanted to achieve their dreams but because of traditions, beliefs and culture, they received the wrong information and guidance. So they often pass this misinformation to their children too. There is a saying which say you can't give what you don't have. Therefore, part of my role is to give them the healthy information. To help the organization to achieve their goals, vision and mission to reduce teenage pregnancies, promote good hygiene practice and help girls & women feel safe and confidence during their menstrual period.
